Dear La Liga Gods,
I cannot thank you enough for thinking of holding a noontime kick-off, particularly for the Real Madrid-Osasuna match.
It is quite new thing for the players, given that Iker Casillas posted that this is the first time in his professional career that he’ll be playing at noon. Whatever the case may be, Real Madrid has prepared well—a formidable team winning 7-1, with a hat-trick from Ronaldo, a brace from Karim Benzema, and goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Pepe, as well as three assists from Angel di Maria (recuperate pronto, Dobby!), two from Alvaro Arbeloa (monster game!), and one from Fabio Coentrao. And yes, Nuri Sahin finally appeared and played!
Isn’t it great to have a smorgasbord of goals for dinner—and not during an induced half-awake state well too early in the morning, as is the usual fare of La Liga matches?
I cannot thank you enough for thinking about your Asian market, La Liga Gods.
But more importantly, I’m just damn thankful that Real Madrid gave a quality performance this evening (or well, this lunchtime at their time). Still top of the table, and it should stay that way.
